He has to tell his own story, so for now, just a couple of photos.
Well, OK ... a short story, until he adds his own details. Gerrie is a born and bred Dutchman !! Born in October, 1962, in Amsterdam, and he moved away from there to The Hague, so we could be together.
He is an artist ... in more than one sense of the word ! A rock singer, he writes his own lyrics (in English), he can paint and draw and sketch, he is a good photographer, and he is currently helping to run a New York style coffee shop. (Yes, real coffee, not the type of Dutch "coffee" shop associated with a certain green leaf !! )
In the photos below, he has long hair ... but since then, he has had it cut short. Time to make some new photos !!

22 November 2006: And, he still has to write his story, and we are a few years further in time. Here in New Zealand, there are loads of things happening, and we don't have the time to update the web site. Like, yesterday, Gerrie went to help the local butcher kill 36 sheep (imagine that for an Amsterdam city boy !!) And a few weeks ago, we took him to see some new born lambs. Today we walked our two (yes, it is now two !!) dogs down to the river, to try and teach them to swim ... maybe next time they will dare to get more than their legs wet !!! Next week he will be the main act in the local "variety show" .... singing "Just a Gigolo".
